I've always had a strong interest in Design.
Observing the way colours, shapes and patterns connect together to lead the eye from one focal point to another in a visually pleasing way has always been something that interested me.
When I was about 14 years old I took a class in photography which peaked my interest. When I turned 16 years old I started exploring design by physically planning and decorating for events. By the age of 17 I had already worked on the decor for multiple big events such as weddings, music festivals, extravagant birthday parties etc. This lead me to really learn the importance of aesthetic. My wandering curiosity and enjoyment for all aspects of design brought me to explore web design. I started playing around with personal blogs, designing and coding simple HTML/CSS websites for people who wanted their blogs to stand out from the rest. Once I had graduated high school I started working for a small interior design and event planning company where my passion for design grew even stronger.
I knew I was destined to be a designer, I just didn't know which type of design was going to become my specialty as I was Infatuated with all of the art forms. Right after high school, I enrolled in school to study 3D Character design in Vancouver where I took typography and Art History as a minor. I then transferred to Los Angeles campus to finish up my Studies in 3D Character Design and I graduated there soon after.
At this time, I was no longer worried about what form of design I wanted to focus on. I knew I wanted to be qualified and able to do it all.. My goal was to become the ultimate designer. Once I moved back to Toronto I decided to go back to school to learn Web/App Development, Product Management, and UX/UI Design that way I could create my own websites to showcase my work and market myself as the multifaceted designer I am today.
Fast forward to today I am currently graduated and finished all of my schooling, still living in Toronto and working as a freelance artist and designer with my own brand.
